I still vividly remember the day I was pulled aside into the hallway and received some devastating news. Unfortunately, it arrived without any clear answers, leaving me with only more questions and uncertainties. It felt as though my entire world had come to a halt, and I was merely a bystander watching events unfold. People were conversing, moving about, urging me to make decisions, yet all I could comprehend was the gravity of the situation; I needed to sit down.

It was at this moment I did as some parents do. I cried, shook it off, threw on my cape and off I went to be what I knew I could be - a safe place and a whole lot of fun.

I couldn't solve this problem, like I couldn't solve the other ones prior to this one, trade places or take anything away but I knew how to make my child laugh and that is exactly what we did in our own little way - we coped, we cried, we smiled and we made every second count not knowing how many we would have.
